The new CARIcloud service powered by the Plexxi Switch uses software-defined networking (SDN) to allow companies to automatically adjust to conditions on their networks and make sure that the most important applications are never starved for performance. This provides a high-capacity, high-speed solution that allows data center growth within a single site or across multiple sites.

"Plexxi's switching technology is a key part of the high-performance architecture that allows CARIcloud to deliver blazingly fast speeds to our clients," said Michael Dowdy, CARI.net's vice president of sales. "CARIcloud's Microsoft Cloud OS-based platform gives companies the flexibility to move confidently and securely to the cloud without being limited by a single cloud provider."

"CARIcloud provides a scalable cloud platform that responds to a real and growing market need as more and more businesses migrate to the cloud," said Mat Mathews, Plexxi's vice president of product management. "Plexxi technology allows CARI.net to provide its customers with a high-speed interconnect that provides simpler, more dynamic control over application workloads so the most important applications are guaranteed the resources they need to operate effectively."
