PCM and Extreme Networks Continue to Partner - Implementing High Density Wi-Fi for the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium Creating an Enhanced Fan Experience

PCM, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCMI) today announced it was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with Extreme Networks to install and support the high density Wi-Fi needs at Paul Brown stadium.

As part of recent upgrades to Paul Brown Stadium, the Cincinnati Bengals were in search of a Wi-Fi solution capable of meeting the challenging demands of the high density stadium environment. The desire of the team was to provide a robust wireless network infrastructure capable of delivering an exceptional fan experience through unfettered access to social media. Additionally, the Bengals were looking for a partner capable of providing turnkey design and implementation services along with comprehensive management of the system going forward.

PCM was able to deliver a robust wireless platform with unparalleled mobile connectivity to fans utilizing Extreme Networks high-density IdentiFi® Wireless solution. The Extreme Wi-Fi system is designed to support all high density requirements, including high-speed connections for streaming content and uploading photos, support of social engagement, in-venue mobile application delivery for value added services and efficient multicast video delivery with unicast-like performance and reliability. PCM’s solution includes an ongoing managed service relationship that further enhances the fan experience at each and every game to insure maximum return on the Bengals’ investment.

This deployment follows other successful implementations of high-density wireless solutions between PCM and Extreme Networks at LP Field for the Tennessee Titans and Lincoln Financial Field for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Most DevOps journeys involve several phases of maturity. Research shows that the inflection point where organizations begin to see maximum value is when they implement tight integration deploying their code to their infrastructure. Success at this level is the last barrier to at-will deployment. Storage, for instance, is more capable than where we read and write data. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at 20th Cloud Expo, Josh Atwell, a Developer Advocate for NetApp, will discuss the role and value extensible storage infrastructure has in accelerating software development activities, improve code quality, reveal multiple deployment options through automated testing, and support continuous integration efforts. All this will be described using tools common in DevOps organizations.
"When you think about the data center today, there's constant evolution, The evolution of the data center and the needs of the consumer of technology change, and they change constantly," stated Matt Kalmenson, VP of Sales, Service and Cloud Providers at Veeam Software, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 18th Cloud Expo, held June 7-9, 2016, at the Javits Center in New York City, NY.
