NEW YORK and POINT ROBERTS, Washington, August 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Investorideas.com (http://www.investorideas.com), a global news source covering leading sectors announces it has updated its water stocks directory of globally publicly traded water companies for August. Investors following the sector paid attention as the city of Toledo and surrounding area called a State of Emergency as result of a toxin from an algae bloom.
Residents were told on Saturday to not drink their tap water or use it to brush their teeth and not to boil it, as it may increase the concentration of toxin.
The overgrowth of algae was caused by farm runoff including fertilizers and sludge from sewage treatment plants and some say warmer water due to climate change.
Apparently the city has known of the problem for over a year.
With record drought, aging infrastructure and water pollution, water is becoming an increasingly valuable commodity.

Take the Long View with Digital Transformation By @IoT2040 | @ThingsExpo #IoT #M2M #API #Microservices #InternetOfThings
Digital Transformation is the ultimate goal of cloud computing and related initiatives. The phrase is certainly not a precise one, and as subject to hand-waving and distortion as any high-falutin' terminology in the world of information technology. Yet it is an excellent choice of words to describe what enterprise IT—and by extension, organizations in general—should be working to achieve. Digital Transformation means: handling all the data types being found and created in the organizat...

Malicious agents are moving faster than the speed of business. Even more worrisome, most companies are relying on legacy approaches to security that are no longer capable of meeting current threats. In the modern cloud, threat diversity is rapidly expanding, necessitating more sophisticated security protocols than those used in the past or in desktop environments. Yet companies are falling for cloud security myths that were truths at one time but have evolved out of existence.
