ConteXtream’s Award-Winning SDN Fabric for NFV to Be Showcased at SDNCentral’s DemoFriday™

ConteXtream, a leading provider of carrier-grade network virtualization solutions, today announced they will be showcasing their award-winning distributed SDN Fabric, ContexNet, at SDNCentral’s DemoFriday™. ConteXtream’s Chief Architect Ron Sidi will demonstrate how the subscriber aware carrier-grade solution provides interconnectivity with subscriber level granularity and visibility in real-world use cases with significant business impact.

Due to continually rising network traffic, service providers today are faced with a highly challenging and competitive environment. In this atmosphere many providers are looking to SDN as the solution for alleviating current pain points and preparing their network for future needs. During this demonstration, Ron Sidi will show how SDN and NFV can simplify and enrich the Gi-LAN to dynamically allocate network resources on a per subscriber/user basis. In addition, he will demonstrate how SDN can support elasticity of functions and automate provisioning of the traffic forwarding patch through the service chain.

Furthermore, attendees will learn how tier-1 operators use ContexNet to deliver carrier-grade services on standard, off-the-shelf computing platforms, enabling them to quickly innovate, deliver and scale applications and services. The demonstration will show how subscriber awareness in service chaining enables rapid delivery of new services and significantly improves network resource utilization.
